The initial concept for this sculpture was to incorporate the duality of movement
activating the stainless steel crescent and painted aluminum "bird." The details
show the stainless steel crescent rotates in opposition to rotating painted and
polished aluminum.
The internal movement of the body when standing still often referenced by
performers and dancers inspired this sculpture.
Shown at Fordham University Lincoln Center, NYC and the Elaine Benson
Gallery where it was purchased for a private collection in Southampton, NY.
